I'm sure with all of us tech geeks in the family, you've all heard us talk about Linux, and while most of you probably don't care what it is and could make a world of difference for your pc, if you're willing to give it a shot (or even if you have an old pc laying around you're willing to try it on). Here's a good article if to read if you're interested.

If you've read that, and our curios... feel free to ask me about what to do next. I'd be willing to help you get going and started, and can have it set up so myself (and whomever else in the family who would be willing to help out) can "remotely connect and control" your computer to help you with stuff when you're starting out.
Basically, if your interested in not having to worry about spyware/malware/viruses/etc., having a more stable system, aren't a hardcore PC Gamer (which is getting better and better compatibility in wine by the day), and want a faster system, reply to this news... and I'd be willing to point you for more info if interested and help get you started.
