Chris and Tammy heard tonight Drew's group came in 5th. That is fantastic. This is nationals.....an experience you will never forget!!!Good for you kids. Have a safe trip home!!!

It's a blast.

And for those of you that don't know why I'm here, here's the story.

My band, Casulties of War, competed in a fine arts festival for our keyboardist's church.
Well we won and got invited to nationals.

And that's why I'm here, competing with my band in the Assembly of God's Fine Arts Festival.

We played today and I am glad to report that we did exceptionally well.
Out of a total of 75 bands from all across the nation, we were 1 of 16 finalists.
We are so frickin pumped about this.

Our final performance is tomorrow.
This will be for all the marbles.

We hope for the best.

IN REGARD TO THE LAKE:

SOME OF THE AUGS WENT OUT SAT. TO TAKE A DIP, WORK UP THE SAND (ROTO TIL) AND RELAX.....BUT BECAME QUITE FRUSTRATED WHEN THEY ARRIVED. ONLY TO FIND A HUGE MESS. INSIDE THE BACK BEDROOM WINDOW KNOCKED OUT (PROBABLY FOR ENTRY)FOOD CONTAINERS ALL OVER AND SOME FOOD AND DRINK SITTING AROUND. BOY THE MICE AND INSECTS MUST BE HAVING A HAY-DAY. ALL AND ALL THINGS WERE THROWN ALL OVER.
THEN WHEN GOING OUT TO THE DECK....CRAP SITTING ALL OVER PLUS BEER CANS GALORE AND TRASH. THE OARS TO MIKE'S KYAK WERE JUST LAYING OUT THERE. HE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO SHARE WITH US, BUT I DON'T LIKE HIM LEAVING THOSE OARS EVEN IN THE CABIN FOR THAT REASON. IT SEEMS IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THE FACILITY YOU COULD AT LEAST PICK UP YOUR TRASH AND REMOVE IT WHEN YOU ARE DONE. I KNOW THINGS ARE IN ROUGH SHAPE OUT THERE....BUT MAYBE THIS IS WHY. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO GO OUT AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOU.....YOU HAVE TO TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY TOO. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. IF YOU CAN'T CLEAN UP YOUR MESS, YOU DON'T BELONG OUT THERE. IF SOMEONE AROUND HERE CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO PUT SOME PICTURES ON AUG SPOT, WE'LL SHOW YOU HOW IT LOOKS!

Chris and I went to Minneapolis over the weekend. We were supposed to see Nine Inch Nails play, but that concert got postponed (after we were already there). So we made the best of it. We went to this little known giant mall on Saturday. It had a mini-golf course and some rollercoasters and an aquarium inside! On Sunday we went to the Uptown Art Fair that happened to be going on while we were in town. We got a new picture for our living room. Then we went on a "Magical History Tour" via Segways. We had a lot of fun despite the canceled primary objective. I have some pictures following the link below:

Went to the Orpheum in Sioux City to see "Weird Al" Yankovic. Snapped a few pics too. It was a great show.
