You can read about my last few days at that site. Today I'm going to a bridge to try to meet mahavats--crazy guys that train and live with elephants. Hope it all works out, there seem to be a lot of issues with these guys. Primarily, they know they're photogenic and think I'm rich, so they want money from me. I'm hoping I can steer us into a more friendly relationship. Wish me luck!

Also, next time you get angry about traffic in Nebraska, take a deep breath and thank the lucky stars that you're not in India. It is absolute madness. I thought Kyrgyzstan was bad, but Delhi is just ridiculous. I can't even believe my eyes with some of the things that people do. The most people I've seen on a motorcycle at one time is 5, but I hear sometimes you see up to 7. On one motorcycle!

Hey everyone,
Landed safely in New Delhi a little over 24 hours ago after a day-long layover in New York due to bad weather. There are worse places to be delayed...we took a train into Manhattan and walked around all day, went the the 9/11 memorial and saw the new towers being built. Saw Times Square and walked through some shops but the only thing I could afford was a hamburger and even that was 15 dollars. Did use some Nebraska charm on our waitress to get a free beer with lunch.

Today in Delhi we went to a couple of markets, got cell phones that would have been pretty cool in 1998, and then had a huge dinner for all the contacts we have been making over the last couple months. The final bill was over 900 dollars...glad Howard Buffett was footing it. Got to talk to some very interesting folks--journalists, photographers, NGO reps, etc. Hopefully I'll be out photographing a story within a day or two, though mine might require some more traveling.

Today's temp was 108 and it's supposed to be like that awhile. Bad for jet lag.

Hey Augs!
Hope you are all doing well!
I was going to put something up about our senior prank with a couple of pictures, but I don't know how to put them up! If you have access to Facebook you can see pictures of it!
What we did:
Any one who wanted to participate could pitch in as much money as they desired, we ended up getting about 100 dollars. We went to Wal-mart and Walgreens, and bought as many cups as we possibly could,people also brought some from their house. We got into the school, and filled the two main hallways on first floor with cups filled with water! It was probably the best thing ever. When we went into school today for our graduation practice, our principle applauded us for our creativity! Just thought I'd keep you updated on my where abouts and shinanagins I'm participating in ;)

Hey everybody, I fly out to india tomorrow. Fer has been her usual generous self and is driving me to omaha in the morning. Just wanted to say hi before I go. Hope you all have a great month. Happy graduation and congrats to Kelly and Nathan, sad to be missing your parties! I'll try to post updates here and we'll have a blog like we did in kyrgyzstan. See you all when I get back!

Hey Augs! This weekend Hannah and I are having a house warming party on Saturday from 2pm-Midnight. If you're in the area and want to see our house or have one of my homebrewed beers you should swing on down. There will also be brisket and pulled pork sandwiches to feed people (and whatever anyone else has to bring).
